This value must be a scalar error

I need to have a function that works with a vector that could be any length. How do I get rid of the range variable requirement? See attached Mathcad 11 doc.

Like the attached?

I have used the pre-defined vec function in the collapsed area.

Mike

I see the vec() function in the utiltities list, but I don't see where you used it.

I used it to define I.

Mike

I see that. But nothing else works on the sheet after that. Get "Illegal Function Value" error for Vf(I).

Sorry Bill,

I didn't even look down the page after the vectors. I am mad busy sorry.

See attached.

Mike

I see the Vf program, but the numbers are to the 22nd power and 0 does not exist for I < 0. I can wait till tomorrow if it will help you. Thanks for the effort.

Are your number correct in the first worksheet you posted?

Mike

Yes, it plotted correctly as well using range variables.

I think the problem is the program does niot replace the complex numbers below zero with zeros.

Try the attached Bill.

Mike

Works Great! Thank you very much for taking the time.
