Job Postings

I am a recruiter looking for Pro/E talent and before I start posting our jobs here I wanted to be respectful of the community and make sure that was ok? Do recruiters post on this site? Is there a better place for these posts?

Regards,

Hello Kristian,

Thank you for being open with your intentions. To stay true to the goals of PlanetPTC and it's members, we prefer to leave job postings to the professional networking communties such as LinkedIn or the large job boards of the world like Monster, Indeed and Careerbuilder.

Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

There are better places but i wouldnt shut the door on this idea. If it would attract users here to ptc community and expand it would be useful. Besides if tis in form of posts i dont see whats the big deal.

We can't verify the validity of the posting. It could also lead to and onslaught of solicitors with mailicious intent. I'm not suggesting that's the intent here but the site just isn't built to handle that traffic and risk.

Point taken.

Kristian,

I fully agree with Dan - there are better places for job postings. We actually maintain a group for Creo users on LinkedIn - feel free to check it out and post your vacancies there. http://www.linkedin.com/groups/Creo-1542977

Thanks!

Bettina

Thanks for the quick responses and help! Any other professional associations or boards you can point me to? I haven't had the best of luck on LinkedIn...

Unfortutantely, it's not my area of expertise so I don't have any other recommendations. Perhaps reaching out to members within that LinkedIn group and inquiring where they have had success would yield hot spots for Creo job hunters.

Well, how about simply letting the recruiters COMPANY post a one-time list of their contact info, and force users to go look for jobs on the recruiter's site instead? Maybe even have a separate forum for this? This would shift the traffic, yet still allow those of us that are still looking for a job the opportunity to contact them directly?

@Kristian: Try posting on CADTalent specifically, then the usual Monster.com and Careerbuilder.com etc.

Best of luck to you and all those seeking work! I know how tough it can be!

@Dan you guys should offer a way for employers to pay to post jobs here. We wouldn't mind paying and that could offer another revenue stream to help keep these boards up-- Just an idea to bring to the table at your next meeting

@Frank Thanks for the suggestion! You can view my open positions here: http://disherdesign.catsone.com/careers/

Kristian and All,

Have you seen the PTC Global Talent Hub (still in Beta)? It was launched recently and seeks to connect employers with candidates experienced with PTC products.
