Which workspace is the file in?

Pro/INTRALINK 9.1

If I know that I have 123000.prt in one of my many workspaces, but I can't remember which one, how do I determine which workspace has it?

Hi Kevin -

If you know the part number, you can search for it in common space > click on Information Icon > and then click on "Go to Information about this object in workspace" icon > and it will update your location to the worksapce in header location (next to Home Icon). See the screen shot.checked_out_object.JPG

Hey Jay,

I can't find a "Go to Information about this object in workspace" icon in my view. We have different User Interfaces.

The screen shot I sent you is from Windchill 10 interface.

What other think you can try (I am not so sure it is the same way in your interface) is go to your PDMLink Home > In the front page, there should be a column of "Checked out by you" objects > you can hit Information Icon there and it will go through the same Link as I sent you earlier.

Let me know the outcome.

Jay

That will work if I have the part checked out. That's news to me, thanks for that. So how can I do it when the file is not checked out.
