Can we convert the mathcad worksheet to an exe file or any other apps

Hi All, if we want to provide our Mathcad worksheet to people who do not have Mathcad in their PCs, what is the best way to do? For example, Labview allows programmers to generate the exe file to provide to users. Does Mathcad have the similar feature? Thank you!

No, sorry, Mathcad does not have that feature. With Mathcad Prime you can get the free Expess version, but it's capabilities are limited. With Mathcad 15, the only way to view a worksheet (other then as a pdf, of course) is to have Mathcad.

You can use Mathcad Calculation Server

Have a look at Mathcad Gateway.  It's a similar concept to what I think you're trying to achieve.  However, it requires a subscription fee to host your worksheets, so it may not be the solution you're looking for.

I also recommend a look at free "SMath Studio" project: http://en.smath.info/ and in particular the possibility of using "SMath Viewer": http://en.smath.info/forum/yaf_postst1784_SMath-Viewer.aspx

Hi. You can't make an executable file from a worksheet, in the way that you can in labview, where the user need to install only some few libraries. But can make in vbasic (and c too) an executable that calls an installed version of mathcad in the user computer, which could be the trial one. Check the files Doughnut.exe and PassVals.exe under (your installation)\Mathcad 15\Resource Center\EN\qsheet\samples\vbasic\

Best regards.

Alvaro.

Long time ago there used to be Mathcad Explorer, which could read and execute a Mathcad (up to version 😎 sheet. You could make changes to a sheet but not save it.. Unfortunately the last version is 8.01, and as far as I know, Mathcad 15 can only save back to version 11, not down to 8. Another unfortunate is that a Mathcad Explorer installer is nowadays hard to find on the web. But if you have access to Mathcad 11 and are interested in this route, let me know.

Sounds like the best way to communicate Mathcad (results) to others is via PDF...

Or, if this is crucial for your work and the mathematics you use are 'simple', consider to use Prime for the purpose.
