Hi,

We are in a process of migrating Arbbortext editor from 5.1 to 6.0 version. In Epic Editor 5.1 after editing the document if we do check-in/cancel check out back to the Documentum repository, XML document/manual automatically disappearing from editor. But in Arbortext Editor 6.0 we are missing this fuctiobality, the manual/document still available in editor after performing check-in/cancel check out operation successfully. As a result one copy of the document/manual still remain in Checkout location. Do we need to change/modify any configuartions in editor to disappear the manual from Editor once if Checkin/cancel check out operation is done..

Hi Hiran,

We are using the 5.3 WDK Adapter. We must close the XML file in Editor before checking in or canceling the checkout. If we do not close the XML first, we find a copy of the XML file in the checkout location. I do not remember this working any differently in earlier versions of the WDK or XML (Documentum Desktop) adapter ... I think for us it has always worked this way.

If you haven't solved this or moved on already, is to join the Adepters mailing list where lots and lots of Arbortext users, admins, and developers hang out 24/7/366 (it is a leap year, you know!). Information on joining that list (as well as pointers to lots of other Arbortext resources) can be found here:

http://blog.single-sourcing.com/top-arbortext-resources

See also:

http://www.single-sourcing.com/company/social.html

Good luck!
