Once in Creo, click the annotation display circled in red. I'm sure there is a config that will default this to off.

There was a change where the Creo was looking for configs between two build codes of CP2. I'm guessing your company config in the install hid these by default.

So I tested this in m070 and m080 without the config option in either version.

* M070 the hole notes don't display in part and assy mode

* M080 the hole notes do display.

The only fix is to add the config option to m080 and set it to no.

It’s setting the initial display of this button to be off:

It’s on by default.

When I’m designing I don’t want to see any annotation, I only want to see dimensions when I’m modifying a feature, or assembly constraint.

Call me a luddite, stick in the mud, what have you… I’d still rather have a separate drawing. It just seems like a lot of extra work to me to try and incorporate all the information on a drawing into a model. I think it’s faster to do a drawing, and end results is a whole lot more portable and archiveible(sp?). I’ve been doing this for a living since ’81, so yes, I guess I’m an old timer. I don’t see the advantage of sending an annotated cad file, verses sending a cad file and a drawing, typically in PDF form. The guy giving you the quote typically is going to be looking at the drawing anyway. Plus it’s easy to mark up a drawing, not so easy to mark up an annotated cad file.

So I heard back from PTC on this. This is actually a fix of behavior that wasn't to spec before.
