I am using Mathcad Prime Release 11.0 and Datecode11.0.1.0

The attached file crashes every time I change 'k'.

Here are the errors that I faced
No warning. It just shuts itself down.

Report the problem to PTC support and have them diagnose the problem.

(NOTE: this forum is NOT the PTCsupport deperatment, it is a users forum.)

Success!
Luc

P.S. What is remarkable is the fact that you define k:=200 but after evaluation it shows as k=250.

The first k is labelled as a (true) 'variable' , the second k is labelled '(variable)' meaning it is potentially a variable...

No problem running this in (real) Mathcad 11:

The program Mathcad was originally developed by a company named Mathsoft. It started as a program running on MsDOS, (versions 1 and 2) then moved to Windows (versions 3 to 15). By the time Mathcad 14 was being developed, PTC acquired the company. They then started to create a new program, Mathcad Prime, which is generally also referred to as Prime, and it is what you are using.

'real' Mathcad 11 is the successor of Mathcad 2001i (version 10.5), and the predecessor of Mathcad 12. It was released around 2003 and, as far as I am concerned, the best Mathcad ever. It is by now out of support (as are all Mathcad versions, and the Prime versions 1 through 6), but as long as it runs, it runs.

PTC has a (what I'd call: lazy) kind of support. If you're not careful, support questions end up on this forum (for installation and licensing problems), or the other forum (for more functional problems). In your case you should create a support ticket. Try PTC support.

Success!
Luc

Ah, yes. I am a long time user and certainly remember the older versions.

Support responded by saying it runs fine on Prime 12 . . . .
