Mechanism and Windchill check out

Then I have assemblies with mechanism constrains, Creo wants to check out the components then I drag it.

Are there any config options to set, or any things to do. So the components didn't get an update in the workspace?

The option you want is allow_drag_read_only_models=yes. This will allow you to drag models without checkout but you are still prompted and need to hit cancel on the pop up that appears.

Hey, you can assemble the thing in twice, then suppress one, then creo behaves.

actually instead of yes try setting the config.pro option to 'instance' seems to work now.
