CHARACTERS LIMIT IN STEP EXPORT

I am using Creo Parametric Release 9.0 and Datecode 9.0.4.0,

When I export a PRT to STEP the name of the DATUMS (e.g. frames, planes, etc.) is cut to a maximum of 19 characters.
Can you please explain me if and how I can remove this limit?

How long are your datum names and why do they need to be so long?

Hi,

I guess maximum of 19 characters is hardcoded and cannot be changed. If you would like to confirm this idea, please contact PTC support..
