Hello

Today I am in WF5.

I used to be able to create rounds on the extruded vertices of a protrusion
by:

selecting the protrusion feature

pre-highlighting one of the extruded edges that I wanted rounded

RMB to cycle through the intent selections to get all of the edges selected
in one go

This was not only supah fast, but it was robust in that if the sketch lost
or gained vertices in the future, the round feature was ok with it and
rolled with the change - no complaints.

I cannot seem to get that trick to work today - did a config setting get
shut off or something? Any hints / ideas?

I cannot even find it in the Pro/Help (surprised?)

Thanks

-Nate

This thread is inactive and closed by the PTC Community Management Team.
Hello Today I am in WF5. I used to be able to create rounds on the extruded vertices of a protrusionby: selecting the protrusion featurepre-highlighting one of the extruded edges that I wanted roundedRMB to cycle through the intent selections to get all of the edges selectedin one

In order for intent chains to work, you need to have fully rebuilt your model since the intent functionality was implemented. That's been some time ago, but if your model was built from a very old start part it may not have been updated. Run the model player and roll the model all the way back and then forward, making sure "regen features" is checked.

There is also an old config option (logical_objects yes) that was used to turn on intent chains & surfaces, but I think that was removed long ago.

--

This is likely the culprit. I will try this tomorrow - but I am working on
a model that was created in 2004.

Thanks Doug!

-Nate
