Creo 9.0.6

Is there a config available to adjust what tab opens when assembling a part that has predefined flexibility? See the attached image as I'm using a pre-defined feature flexibility. When assembling and using that predefined I'd like it to open directly to the feature tab.

I've had users completely miss the little (1) icon next to the text on a tab and not be able to find what to adjust.

I understand that dimensions are the most likely to be used and that makes it a great default, but a little order of operations rule would be great here.

I just did a cursory search of the config options for Creo 10, I did not see anything in the flexible modeling or assembly labeled options that would affect this UI setting.

It is not likely there is a config option to set this default in the UI. You should be able to create a mapkey that will make the desired tab active when opening that window. I would also ask PTC support about this.

Hi @HW_9564609 ,

It looks like something similar was asked a couple years ago as a case and was documented in CS368017. This request was for the Components tab rather than Feature but the result would be the same. At the time it was recommended for that user to create a Product Idea to request the change to functionality but I have not found any Product Ideas for this.

I agree with @tbraxton that a good current method would be to create a mapkey to access the varied items and switch to the desired tab.
