You can add as many custom color schemes as you need. The perceived limit is due to the fact the UI will only allow access to a single custom system color scheme at a time. If you import another custom scheme, it will then be the active one available for selection. There is no limit to custom schemes, but you will need to import them as needed to change the available custom scheme that is in session.

Use the import button to read in a system_color.scl file to define the custom colors and upon import that is now the active color map available for selection from the GUI. You can export the settings at any time to save a custom scheme as a *.scl file.

custom system colors in Creo Parametric 10.0.7.0

Is it possible to have more than 1 custom system color scheme in Creo Parametric 10.0.7.0 . This seems as though it would be simple. We are all well aware that there are, by default, six choices for the "system color scheme" As far as I can tell there is just one called custom. Can I add another custom scheme?

This is so different than the "appearance manager" where there are often a bewildering selection of colors for the models.

Thanks tbraxton,

I guess this does count as a solution.

We get a bit spoiled with the convenient drop down menu and it seems such a burden to need to import a scl when we want a different background color. In reality, It just adds a few mouse clicks.

If you are frequently switching between color schemes, make a mapkey to switch and another to switch back. I have this when switching between my normal color scheme and black and white for instruction sheets.
