Hello!
I am trying to add a M7 ISO thread to my 3D piece but it has the wrong size. It's way tinier as what it schould be. The sizes are wrong for every ISO thread, and doesn't disappear after restarting Creo, or by creating new pieces.
Im am Using Creo 8.0.4.0, and I believe the problem came once I changed the language.

Thank you for your help and your time.

Hi,

Config .hol files drive threads.

The default configuration is far from good, like in your case - there is no countersink definition, which caused an error.

Please see the screenshots I made with "default" iso .hol and my "custom" made iso *.hol file.

If you had it working in the past, perhaps your Creo is currently reading the wrong config file. Remove config.pro from your starting file and copy the correct one.

It is a good practice to create a .bat file that does it for you if needed.

cheers!

Hi,

I can't read anything on your screenshot (because of the very poor quality of the image, it may work out better as attachement file), but I see that you have counterisink settings, and that your thread don't have the same name/size.
I deleted a custom thread configuration file, and the countersink appeared.

I tried to change the config pro file, but it didn't helped, the solution may be, as you said, to replace it with a new and correct one, however I didn't find "the normal" config.pro file.
Do you have a working one (and simple if possible), to recommend?

The ISO.hol file seems completly correct.

I appreciate your help.

The first thing I not in your config is your start part is inch lbs start part, so if your iso hole is very small, I suspect you used the start part and its units are inches. You can check your part file by going to file - prepare - model properties and find Units.

Today is the day, when windows - shift - S, stopped working, I am more than happy you enjoyed the poor quality of both graphics. On my screenshots, there were 2 different iso-13 and "my" file iso-13-1, both with countersink - in one it worked, and you can see the countersink, in the other one it didn't, due to a missing countersink parameter value in *.hol file.

Your .hol file has a missing countersink diameter for m7x1 (value is 0, on the right-hand side). Add it and restart your creo.
