Intelligent Fastener Extension: Add missing screws (DIN 912 / ISO 4762)

Hi PTC community,

my designs employ a lot of M2 / M2.5 / M3 screws. Until now I designed screws, washers and nuts by myself, but using the Intelligent Fastener Extension (IFX) seems to be way more convenient.

The IFX only allows to use DIN 912 (ISO 4762) M4+ screws and M3+ washers/nuts. I tried to add the according data to the dat file (Common Files\afx\parts\ifx_fastener_data\DIN912-10_9.dat), but this doesn't work. What is the proper way to extend the existing options?

Hi Mike,

you find a lot of information about customizing the library in the help or in the tutorials.

For example you can see how to add a new length here.

There is a complete topic about customization in the help.

In addition you can have a look to the IFX tutorials.
