The hole tool can put a nice tidy ISO standard tapped hole that isn't a cosmetic thread (IE not made with a helical sweep). How would I add the same type of standard ISO thread to the outside of a cylindrical boss? I guess instead of "tapped" it would be "died"

Still wondering. Is this yet another missing feature from this woefully incomplete software?

I think what you are looking for are Cosmetic Threads

If it's not a helical sweep thread, then the only other option is a cosmetic thread.

If you don't want a cosmetic thread, which is just a pictoral in the drawing, with its callout in the model, Then what are you looking for?

You either have cosmetic threads or modeled threads (helical sweeps)!
