PLC and Kepware using for data analysis

hello hope it's going allright.
i am an intern at Mertay Makina Metal and student at Bursa Teknik University
i have a project to learn about plc and sensors. i got a project that should measure a distance between sensor and ground. and then the sensor will be connected the plc after all i should be able to pull sensor values from plc to my computer and plot or write these values on the screen. i do not know how to connect these components and i do not know how to read sensor values from the plc.i will use kepware to acces plc an receive sensor values . i am here to have your help. will you be helping me.
