Conductor Mass

Conductor Mass

Anyone understand how conductors are calculated for mass properties
reports?
Question I could not answer.
For example, where conductors may be routed prior to the connector entry.
In some cases they can be a significant amount of copper.
CREO sees these conductors as nonstd wire.
The standard spools are set-up with density at the twisted pair level. I
am assuming the density would have to be the same for the conductors.
Expanding the spool info, only Awg and color is entered. Should density be
added at the conductor level as well?

Jeff,

For example, If I route a conductor Only, from a spool set-up as shown
below 345 in long it will calculate as 0.00 Mass
When I route the cable (Twisted Shielded jacketed Pair) from the same
spool it calculates Mass

Cable has density

Conductor does not have density entered at conductor level
