Edges not selectable for dimensioning in drawing.

Edges not selectable for dimensioning in drawing.

I have a assembly of two parts which are similar ,one part is the copy of the other.While adding dimensions to this assembly in the drawing very few edges highlight for dimensioning.The other edges which I have to dimension to neither highlight nor are select able.

I am on PTC Creo Elements 5.0 M260.On customer end I have checked on PTC Creo Parametric 2.0 M190,the result is same.

*Windows 10 Pro is the operating system.

Thanks in advance for any helpful advice.

 

*I do know PTC Creo Elements Pro 5.0 is not compatible with Windows 10 Pro,but it runs just fine.
