Find Tool

Find (Cntrl+F)
Never have been easy for me to use this tool..And most of the time didn't
get the needed result..Is anybody else having difficulties with the "Find"
tool.
Tried to find a part within an assembly (noticed later that was into a
group), by feature ID and it didn't find it..
Is this tool improved in WF5?

It should be pretty straight forward.

  • Look for: part
  • Look by: part
  • Check the Include submodels check box
  • Attributes tab > name = *name*
  • Hit the [find now] button

In the resulting list click on any found item, your model tree should spring open and highlight the selected part.
