Creo 2 M030 & Creo 3 Releases

The back maintenance payment isn't all, it only goes back 1 year.  We've
been down that road before with positive results, but if you can't stay
off maintenance a minimum of 18 months or better 2+ years, it's not
likely worth the pain.  In this case it seems a 50/50 proposition.  I'm
betting it'll be 2 years until we need to use Creo 3, but it may be
shorter, who knows. 



We need to be able to run whatever version our clients are running
(right now we've got clients on WF4, WF5 & Creo2 and I've had to use all
3 in the same day.)  So, if we go off maintenance and get a client that
adopts Creo 3 right away, we'd have to pony up to renew.



Mostly this was just a Friday rant about how the value of our
maintenance dollar is slipping each year to the point that it feels like
throwing money out the window and how PTC isn't living up to what they
said we'd get with Creo - annual releases.  The idea of paying 12 months
of maintenance and not getting a single new release is painful.



Anyway, back to your Friday.  I'll likely be in a better mood after the
weekend with a short week ahead. 😄
