Toollife Management

Pro/manufacturers,

Pro/NC does not appear to support any means of tool management
implementation via CL command or tool options to drive G-code. I know
that there is a valid 'TLLIFE' CL command (in the APT major word
vocabulary world anyway) but cannot find any other syntax or standard
usage information anywhere.

Is there anyone out there doing any of this within Pro/NC that would be
willing to share some knowledge?

TIA

Regards,
Scott

*Summary*

Well, not actually much to summarize as I only received one reply,
(really another question) asking if it was related to CUTCOM. The answer
was no. A suggestion of using an auxiliary sequence to getting the
commands into the CL file was suggested also. (Thanks for the interest,
Dustin.)
My issue was not getting the commands into the CL, which I have done
without any problem. My real issue was trying to find if there was any
standard syntax to adhere to. For instance, SPINDL/RPM,300, CCLW has the
major word SPINDL and certain allowable minor word parameters, and these
combinations are detailed in both Pro/mfg and various post-processing
manuals. Obviously, the minor words DEPTH, MMPM or GREEN, while all
valid words, do not couple with SPINDL to form any type of logical
sentence.
I cannot find reference anywhere that tells me what the valid
combinations are for the major word TLLIFE. I apparently need to build
the post-processing activity that interprets that information, which I
can do. I just don't know if there is a 'usual and customary' set of
terms I should be expecting.

Regards,
Scott
