Hi Martin Hanak,

I was not allowed to reply your last answer, so i start a new discussion.

No C:\Programme\FLEXnet Admin License Server\logs does actually not exist on my pc.

When i start the service lmadmin_ptc there comes the following error message...

Hi,

select lmadmin_ptc service, press right mouse button and open Properties dialog box. On General tab you will find Path to executable item. If this path&file does not exist then license manager has been deleted from your PC and you have to install it again. If it exist then locate log subdirectory, zip it and send me zip file using How to attach file when you Reply to a discussion. procedure.

When i want to copy the marked adress and search it in my pc, the adress does not exist.

Hi,

you are right, you need to install license manager. Prerequisities for this step are:

• you need installation DVD (or its copy on harddisk)
• you need license file

If you do not have both of them, then you are lost .

Is only the creo license file enough for you, because i have the installation cd too but it is in school and it may take longer until i have it again?

How should i send you the license file ?

Hi,

you do not have to send me your license file, you can check its contents using information included in this reply.

Before you start FLEXnet installation:

• go to C:\Programme directory (I think C:\Programme directory is equal to C:\Program Files in German environment) and rename FLEXnet Admin License Server to FLEXnet Admin License Server.OLD

• remove lmadmin_ptc service
  open Command Prompt window as Administrator
  run the following command
  sc  delete  lmadmin_ptc
  check whether service disappeared from Services dialog box

Your license file contains following lines, please include them in the next reply:

SERVER __HOSTNAME__ PTC_HOSTID=XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX 7788

DAEMON ptc_d ...

INCREMENT PROE_Educ1 ptc_d version.0 enddateORpermanent

XX-XX-XX-XX-XX-XX

You can check if this MAC address of network card belongs to your hardware using following commands:

open Command Prompt window as Administrator

run the following command
ipconfig /all

-OR-

getmac

After successful check you can proceed with installation.

Hi,

you have to open Command Prompt window as Administrator, this means ... find Command Prompt command, select it, press right mouse button and use Run as Administrator command from context menu.

License file is related to MAC address 20-6A-8A-9D-1D-CB, so you have to check it using commands mentioned in my previous reply.

License is valid until 31-dec-2018 and you can use it to run Creo Parametric 1.0, 2.0 and also 3.0 (because version is 34.0).

You can check if this MAC address of network card belongs to your hardware using following commands:

open Command Prompt window as Administrator

run the following command
ipconfig /all

-OR-

getmac

I am sending installation guide valid for FLEXNet 11.11.1 license manager available on Creo Parametric 3.0 DVD, because(unfortunatelly) I do not have similar guide for FLEXNet license manager available on Creo Parametric 1.0 DVD. I hope it can help you.
