Creo Element drawings into Creo Parametric

Hello,

Right now a supplier is using Creo elements direct modeling latest version and they create annotations drawing files and send .bd2 files to us. I wanted to ask if there was a way for us to open it or convert it without having to turn it into a neutral file? We tried step file but my issue is when it comes to Creo Parametric the models are broken? Is there no direct way to address this?

Thank you.

bd2 files are created by "Modeling Express", not "Modeling". "Modeling Express" is the free and limited version of "Modeling".

bd2 files cannot be loaded with Creo, neither with "Modeling".

However, you can extract the Annotation drawing file by unzipping the bd2 file. You will get the 2D file "am_2d_0.mi" which you should be able to load with Creo without turning it into a neutral file.

Hi!

Thats exactly what I need to do; extract the annotation drawing file. Could you perhaps teach  me how would I unzip the bd2 file?

Personaly, I use 7-zip.
