Tooling Library

I'm using Creo 11 w/ Complete Machining Extension. I'm trying to learn 5-axis milling capabilities of Creo and I want to have a full tool library curated by someone else.

I have downloaded the "Tooling Library" from PTC page "Legacy Creo Libraries".

Can anyone teach me or send me documentation on how to make use of the tools inside of Creo. For every .prt file of a tool there seems to be a corresponding .mnu file and there are 3 or 4 .exe. I imagine there is a way to view the .mnu files in a master menu with graphics, but I don't know.

Thanks,

Kevin

I wish that were an installation guide! It's a Creo help file about the config option for setting the file path for tool libraries. My issue is making use of the tool library from Creo in my NC Tool Manager. I figured out how to pick a tool and use it for toolpaths. What's frustrating is not knowing what the tools are through a guide or table of contents. The file names are not descriptive. There are 82 tool .prt files of which all that I viewed were family tables. There are hundreds of tools in total.

Here are the milling tools:

What I find interesting is the mills_s.mnu file, it says:

I wonder if the creators of the library made a way to view these descriptions through a menu of all tools—mills, drills, reamers, taps, and turns.

I found this resource digging through info... here's a PDF description of the former TOOLING LIBRARY™ Catalog:
https://codexcreo.com/docs/tooling_library.pdf

I have been building a tooling library for Creo. It is mostly based on parameter tools but does have some solid tools. Tools are organized into folders so it is easy to find the tools you need. Includes both inch and metric. I am still working on it, Some of the tools have preset speeds and feeds for automatic calculation. It also includes many fixtures I created from scratch like a vise that the jaws are flexible components.

Tool Types Included
Tools are in folders according to their machining type. e.g. Drilling, Milling, Turning, and Wire EDM:

Back Spot Facings, Ball Endmills, Barrel Lens Mills, Barrel Taper Mills, Barrel Tangent Mills, Basic Drills, Boring Bars, Center Drills, Chamfer Mills, Corner Round Mills, Countersinks, Drills, Endmills, Engraving Tools, Facemills, Groove Mills, Grooving Tools, Key Mills, Lollipop Mills, Mill Tools, Mills, Multi Tips, Plunge Mills, Reamers, Side Mills, Sketched Tools, Slitting Saws, Spot Drills, Taper Ball Endmills, Taper Endmills, Taps, Thread Mills, Turning Tools, Wire EDMs

Workpiece materials
These materials can be assigned at the operation level and for each tool to calculate speeds and feeds and cutting parameters such as step depth and step over.

Aluminum, Brass, Bronze, Cast iron, Composites, Copper, Foam, Graphite, Inconel, Magnesium, Monel, Plastics, Stainless steel, Steel, Titanium, Tool steels, Wood
