imported solid tooling for manufacturing

how do you modify imported Kennametal boring bars to work in the simulation section in creo manufacturing. i dont know where to start on how to get tool to work

Hi 

You must have a coordinate system named "Tip" at the exact point where you want the tool to follow the path.

Just a bit more info on that: The coordinate system must be oriented with Z+ along the spindle center, away from the tip of the tool.

Myself, I don't really use the solid tools. I suppose they would be helpful to avoid collisions, show actual depth of cut limitations, etc. but if I recall they made material removal simulation difficult? I can't remember.
