Mathcad 14 memory leakage

Mathcad 14 memory leakage

In recent weeks, my PC has been imobilized by Mathcad 14 grabbing more than 2GB of memory - all the available spare.  I am told that this is a known problem with Mathcad and that I should download the latest upgrade, but  I am  also told that the download is only available to those with service contracts. As a UK customer, I bought my Mathcad from Adept Scientific, they seem unable to help and  I don't have a PTC service contract.

I can understand PTC wanting to charge for genuine upgrades to their software, but charging for patches to fix known bugs - what kind of service is that?

Firstly I would reccommend posting as a discussion not a blog.

What version of Mathcad 14 are you running?

You might need to upgrade to the latest service release M14 020.

If you have a single user license, you can find m020 at http://www.ptc.com/support/mathcad_downloads.htm

Mike.

Thanks for your help Mike.  M020 now downloaded successfully

No problem

Mike

I don't think this will solve the problem.  I run M14 020 and have run into the same or similar problem.  See the link below.

I tried to download the update for 14 for which I have a single user license, and it does not accept my normal PTC login and let me access the file.

Any help with this?

SORRY never mind, I must have typed something wrong.  It worked fine.
