Materials properties

I've had students submit parts that have been assigned to ALUM-6061. This carries with it a density of .0325 lbm/in³. The al6061 on the education version has a density of .0979 lbm/in³. The latter version agrees with other published values for the density of aluminum. Is there something I'm missing? Why is the value different between the schools version and the education version? Hi Kate, Thanks for the comments. I see the issue and we will update the Material library for ALUM-6061 to the proper value of 0.0979 lbm/in³. In the meantime, you can open the material dialog in Pro/E and edit the density value of ALUM-6061. This will then be changed on the system for future use. Sorry for the inconvenience. Regards, Mark
