PTC Servigistics Field Service Mobile version 10.7.8 has been released to the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for final review. The updated version of the app will be available as soon as the review process is completed by each of the corresponding stores. Since we have posted the app to both stores at the same time, the Android version on the Google Play Store will be available in a few hours and the iOS version within the next 10 days.
The Field Service Mobile 10.7.8 release is a minor release with only limited changes. The highlights are below:
- iOS 9 support has been added with this release. This 10.7.8 version of the application has been tested against the officially released version of the iOS 9 operating system. If you are updating your device to iOS 9, please use the 10.7.8 version. With the addition of support for iOS 9, the app will no longer be supported on the iOS 7 operating system. There have been no changes to prevent the app from running on iOS 7 but we will only be supporting the two latest versions of the iOS operating system.
- Note: Before upgrading to the iOS 9 operating system, make sure to verify the security configuration of your MIS servers meets the requirements for iOS 9 applications. Reference Field Service Mobile and iOS 9 for more information
- Fixed issue of broken scroll bars and empty selection lists on devices that have the latest updates to the Android System Webview or Chromium installed. More details on this can be found in the previous blog post: Field Service Mobile 10.7.8 - What to Expect
