Custom Scheduled Publish

Curious if there are any publishing gurus out there? I need to create a custom publish job to republish all latest EPM documents at 'Released' state, preferably by subfolder instead of entire context. I don't begin to know how to create the custom the custom Java classes discussed in the customization guide. Any help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks.

Tom, another alternative approach to your problem:

1) Create a custom search to find these items

2) Use the tools - export list to file from the search results table

3) Use the exported file to manage the jobs being sent to the publisher

a. We are trying to learn how to do this final step and would be grateful to have the steps to do it. I know other companies have done it.
