Migrating from PDMLink 9.1 to 10

Just wondering if those who will be going from 9.1 to 10 will be migrating to 10.0 or wait awhile and go to 10.1. And id one were to migrate to 10.0, is it possible to later go from 10.0 to 10.1?

We are going straight to 10.1.
Don't know on the 2nd question but would assume yes.

We are moving from 9.1 to 10.0.

I would assume we can go from 10.0 to 10.1 in the future, but a PTC person
would have to answer for certain. I can't believe that you wouldn't be
able to.

We thought about 9.1 to 10.1 for a moment, then realized that it requires to go to Creo2 ... not ready for that. Going to 10.

WF5 is also supported at 10.1. Just not creo 1.0

We have contemplated (and still are to some degree) going right from 9.1
to 10.1. We have been fighting with bugs in 10.0 M030 for some time,
but couldn't live with issues in M010 or M020. So far we have several
patches in M030 and just a couple more issues to resolve on our list.
We hope to do the upgrade in May. We don't want to wait for M040
(August) if we can help it and don't want to do 10.1 F000 and don't want
to wait for M010 -- we're skeptical that 10.1 would be stable enough by
then given what we've seen with 10.0.

We're still getting a handle on what it takes to go from 10.0 to 10.1.
We also plan on putting up a 10.1 test environment before we call it a
go for 10.0 in May.

Note the Creo 1.0 gap in WC 10.1. We're skipping Creo 1.0 when we
update MCAD.

Yep. I am on wf 4.0 now. I wanted to skip wf5.
Could not have imagined that creo1 would be not compatible 10.1. So, my plan now is to go to wc10, upgrade to creo1, start testing wc10.1 and creo2.

We are also skipping 10.0 and going straight to 10.1. It is possible to migrate from 10.0 to 10.1 at a later date.

Just received the word from on high from PTC that you can go from 10.0 to 10.1. Our convern is that the support from 9.1 ends this coming December(must be linked to the Mayan calendar), so our NASA folks here would like to be on some version of 10 before that ocurrs. I read that 10.1 M020 is due out in the 4th quarter of 2012, which is the only version I would want to migrate to, hoping it would be somewhat more stable.

10.1 is already out available for download. A lot of the documentation for 10.1 is also available.

For what it's worth to all:
- We struggled with 10.0 upgrade and reported some issues (M010, then M020, then M030)
- We have thoroughly tested and exercised 10.1 and have found only a few minor problems; we're planning to go to 10.1 M020, currently planned for release in Aug

- With 10.1, we've also successfully completed (for the first time) a full bulk index run with Solr, and it seems to be working very well.
