collector preferences?

Windchill PDM Essentials10.2M020, Creo Parametric 2.0 M110

Attempting to select several files, then change the State from Released to Obsolete.

when selecting files directly from Commonspace folders for items that are changing life cycle states from Released to Obsolete (processing an ECO):

(see attached numbered image files)

1. If selecting more than one file, Set State is not available through RMB menu.

I don't believe Reassign Life Cycles is supposed to be an alternative to Set State. (State is changing, not life cycle.) If I am mistaken, please let me know!

file is collected automatically through the collector preferences. In this specific circumstance, Set State is allowed for more than one file.

2. If one file is selected, Set State is available through RMB menu.

3. Anyattempt to use Edit Multiple Files results in:

Message from webpage error, Invalid selection: Select parts or documents.

(This message is always received, regardless of the attempted operation.)

All assistance is greatly appreciated!

Thanks,

Krystal

Try adding the files to a workspace. You should be able to set state to all
at once.

In 10.2 M020 from the Folders – select the files and then Set State using the Action drop down.
