I am having trouble getting the software properly downloaded and running. The first time I downloaded it, it said that it was complete but the would not run (could not locate the .exe. file). So I uninstalled it and tried it again. This time the installer is stuck at 2%, where its been for hours. I have NO idea what to do.

Yeah, I tried that too. That didn't work either. I've taken down the firewall and antivrus. I even downloaded data for the DVD, of course, that didn't work.
A PTC member also emailed me a different license to try but that did not work. I am not sure what the issues is. I purchased the software through JouneyED (which is where my school suggested I buy it from). They send me a link to download the software from which is where I am getting the problems...the PTC Set up is stuck at 2% when copying files.
I can't seem to get either PTC or JourneyED to send an actual copy of the software CD/DVD. I think its refund time.

it is not sufficient to say it does not work. Please use pictures and describe your step using more details.
For example:

I downloaded zip file from https://support.ptc.com/appserver/auth/it/esd/academicFree.jsp

I unzipped zip file using 7-zip program and run setup.exe
... and so on
