Display CAD files in a website

I would like to display our FIRST Robotics robot on our website.  These are the ideal features that a visitor to the website should experience.

1.  They have the ability to select, rotate, scroll, and zoom into the CAD file.

2.  They don't need to install any plugins or other viewing software.

3.  They can select and hide/show parts and assemblies.

4.  They can make parts transparent.

I'd be happy with the first one, but the others would be nice to have.  How can this be done with with CREO part and assembly files?  Does anyone have a link to a website that is already set up like this as an example.

Thanks,

Joe

Joe,

How about placement on the website a files/models in PDF3D format (which Creo can generate)?

Thanks Vladimir for the response.  I was aware of the 3D PDF, but I was looking for something that was directly manipulatable in the browser.  I know I could take a picture of the CAD image and link it to the PDF, but I wanted to get by without downloading the file.

Hello Joe,

did you follow Vladimir's suggestion or did you find another solution?

Please let us know! (and if Vladimir's suggestion resolved your question, please mark it as Correct Answer)

Thanks,

Gunter

Joe,

They can be embedded in webpages using the instructions in the Creo View Office Toolkit. We embed them into Powerpoint

Thanks llie.  I don't suppose that you have a link for the instructions handy?  I've had difficulties trying to access online help through either the FIRST robotics install (academic version) or the professional version here at work.

Thanks,

Joe

Go to PTC, select PTC Software Downloads, select Creo View & Productview, select the desired Release (Release Creo 3.0), select PTC Creo View 3.0 Toolkits, select the desired Datecode (Datecode: M031). In the zip file select the Docs folder.
