Moving from Model Manager 18.1 (Win Server x64 2008 R2 / Oracle 11g) to Model Manager 19.0 (Win Server x64 2012)

Hello,

I plan to move my Model Manager 18.1 F000 Server (Oracle 11.2.0.2.0) to a new server which is configured with Windows server 2012 R2.

1st question: Would it be possible to keep MM 18.1 on the new server Win 2012 R2 ?

2nd question: If we move to MM 19.0, could you please give me the correct steps order to realize that ?

3rd question: Which version of Oracle should I install if I want to go for MM 19.0 on Win 2012 R2 ?

Thank you in advance for your advices.

The official Support Matrix is here - and fortunately available for everyone:

V18.1: Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server 18.1 Platform Support

V19: PTC Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server 19.0 Platform Support

In short: V18.1 is not officially  supported on Windows Server 2012 R2

To be 100% sure ask PTC Support

And Oracle should be (on 2012 R2)

Oracle 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.4) 64 bit Standard Edition4
Oracle 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.4) 64 bit Standard Edition One4
Oracle 11g Release 2 (11.2.0.4) 64 bit Enterprise Edition4

The required Database is contained in the platform support document.

It can be found in the "Database Servers" section, here is the direct link:

PTC Creo Elements/Direct Manager Server 19.0 Platform Support

Hello Mr. Kublin,
