ESI Failure during Windchill-SAP Integration Process

In our Windchill-SAP Integration, configuration is such that when Promotion Request is in "Approved" Life cycle state, the ESI Integration happens but we want it to happen only for WTParts and not other object types. In present case, whenever the Promotion Request is in Approved State, ESI Integration Starts. Since we integrate only WTPart with SAP, it is fine for us but we dont integrate WTDocuments, so we get ESI Failure Message. Please suggest how to ensure that ESI Integration is happening only for WTParts.

Hi Prasad,

For ECN centric, The OOTB preference for this is esiTarget specific

Without the ECN, the setting is controlled via Site/Preferences. Under ESI,Settings, Document

Jonas

Hi Jonas,

We are not using ECN for WT Documents, we are using Promotion Request. Under Site--> Preference Management-->ESI, the Lifecycle state for a Promotion Request to start publishing is set to Approved and for WTDocuments it has been set to Released. However as soon as the Promotion Request for a WTDocument reaches Approved state the publishing starts, irrespective of whether the WTDocument is in Released State or not. For WTPart,  Lifecycle state has been set to Approved under Preference Management, so when the Promotion Request for a WTPart reaches Approved state the publishing starts, which is what is needed.
We want to this publishing to happen only for WTPart .
