convertion of PTC file (.pk2) to dwg

Hi,

how can I save or convert the 3D model I created in PTC Creo to dwg file?

Many thanks in advance for the attention.

Hello Mauro,

Express is a free version of Creo Elements Direct Modeling.

To prevent the commercial use PTC has eliminated the most export functions.

But also the paid version can not store 3d dwg  directly.

Alternatively you can save  there as .sat.

The picture shows a comparison of the options in both programs.

In German, hope you cope with it

In modeling you can buy also additional modules.

The are not listed.

In Express is only stl. and .wrl available.

Best regards

(Please write info in your Signature) Sysinfo: I use Creo Elements Direct /Drafting, /Modeling and /Modeling Express 8.0 ( formerly CoCreate- SolidDesigner and Drafting or ME10 )

There has been a lot of discussio about PK2 / PKG data conversion

(convert data from CED Express to CED Modeling and vice versa)

Many years ago, PTC offered a "conversion Service" but this has been discontinued.

The only 3D export format of CE/D Express is STL, which is a triangular format, so rounds will recreated as a "polygons".

Some other CAD programs can import STL, like Viacad.

But as said, imported STL's result in "rough" models.

Regards,

Jaap
