PTC Navigate Installation

Hi,

Has anyone installed PTC Navigate with Windchill PDMLink 10.2 M030?

I have a generic question - for installing PTC Navigate the installer guide from reference document states that we need to have an installation of Thingoworx, but is there a way that we can install Navigate without installing Thingworx?

Thanks in advance!

regards,

Amarkarthi

No, Navigate is just some custom mashups (pages) in ThingWorx.  You will need a separate server with Apache, Tomcat, and ThingWorx installed on it.  This will then talk back to your Windchill server when users make requests from the Navigate (ThinkWorx) web pages.

Thanks for replying Tom.

I couldn't understand your reply, do you mean that Thingworx is needed for running Navigate?

Sorry, I was replying to this statement:

The answer is "no".  Navigate cannot exist without ThingWork.  The web pages people see when they use Navigate generated by (and delivered through) ThingWorx.
