Hi,

unfortunately checking the status of Flexlm Service 1 in Services dialog box is not the right way, how to check if license manager is running properly on your PC.

1.]

You have to check running processes ... can you see ptc_d.exe process running ?

What other processes can you see ... lm_admin.exe, lmgrd.exe ?

2.]

You have to check the contents of FLEXnet log file ... it can contain error messages...

Questions:

a.]

What FLEXnet version is installed on your PC ?

b.]

What "combination" do you use ?

lm_admin.exe + ptc_d.exe ???

-OR-

lmgrd.exe + ptc_d.exe ???

Dear Martin,

Please see below attached log file for details

Hi,

in C:\license.txt you can see the following error message:

File not found. C:\Program Files\PTC\FLEXnet Admin License Server\i486_nt\obj\ptc_d.exe

I guess that the above mentioned path to ptc_d.exe is set in license.dat file.

i486_nt is related to 32-bit version of FLEXnet.

In case that you have 64-bit installation, you have to use C:\Program Files\PTC\FLEXnet Admin License Server\x86e_win64\obj\ptc_d.exe path.
