Integrity 11.0 server will not start after update from 10.8

On our test server, we have upgraded to 10.8 and have now decided to test 11.0 in preparation for running this on our production server. However after upgrading to 11.0, the server is not working. It says it is running, but does nothing. it creates the server.log file but writes nothing to it, no fatal log and in the startup.log "Launching a JVM..." and that is it.

Anyone have any idea what this could be? Have we forgotten to do something that is required in 11.0 that was not there in 10.8?

It's very difficult to find a reason when no logs are written.

Best to open a support ticket.  Seems odd it doesnt write any type of logs.  Do you get a startup.log, servermigration.log from the upgrade, fatal, boot, or dbinstall log?  something should be written..  Is flex up and running?  again best for a support ticket and a web meeting with them.

Flex would be a good place to start.  If that license manager isn't running Integrity will not start.

Thanks for the input but we found out what the problem was. We mistakenly copied the wrong version of the unlimited strength encryption java policy files to the server. Replacing these with the correct ones for Java 8 fixed the problem.

Still strange that there is no error message or writing of any logs, but at least we can carry on now 🙂
