How to import a coordinate list (x and y values) into modeling express 6.0

Hello community,

I'm a beginner.

I want importing an x-y-Data file (*.txt) to get a track, wich then I can measure it's length, modify and soon.

At last I want export this track as a *.dxf File.

For any idea and answers many thanx.

Dave

Hello oder hallo Damian,

my approach would be to use Line/Arc or Spline to create the geometry
The coordinates must be written in a line separated by space..
Example:
0,0 10,12 15,18 17,20 20,13 25,15 26,16 27,17 .... and so on.

Create a workplane.

Click Line/Arc or Spline and then put the coordinates with copy/paste into the command line + Enter

Measure the length is possible with "Contour Length"

Now the disappointment.
Express is unfortunately unable to export something useful such as dxf
Disadvantage of a free Program-Version

(Please write info in your Signature) Sysinfo: I use Creo Elements Direct /Drafting, /Modeling and /Modeling Express 8.0 ( formerly CoCreate- SolidDesigner and Drafting or ME10 )
