Workarounds to use IDX for rigid flex assemblies with multiple thicknesses

Hi,

We're using Creo 10.0.6.0 and currently evaluating the ECAD-MCAD Collaboration (ECX) which allows using IDX files. On the ECAD side, we use Cadence. We ran into a snag because we have rigid flex assemblies that use multiple thicknesses, but Creo doesn't support that yet. Many references here:

We have workarounds to manage these files today using EMN/EMP transfers. I'm interested in learning if others have already found workarounds to manage multiple thicknesses with IDX files.

Thanks,

Joe

We weren't able to find any viable workaround. We won't be adopting this module until they add the needed functionality.

You are in the wrong forum.

PTC has two CAD systems:    Creo+ and Creo Parametric    and     Creo Elements Direct.

Which makes it confusing.

More, for Creo Elements Direct:

- The 3D software name is Modeling, and

- The 2D software name is Drafting.

For Creo+ and Creo Parametric, use only this tab:
