Hello all,
export tracker to word using eg. default system template works fine and data are visible.
But it does not work if Merge Field is edited:
1) { MERGEFIELD author \* MERGEFORMAT } -> author is rewritten manually
or
2) { MERGEFIELD author \* MERGEFORMAT } to { MERGEFIELD baseline \* MERGEFORMAT }
or manually inserted : Insert tab > Text > Quick parts > Field > Merge field
If working Merged Field is copy/past then it works.
Is there any special formatting or syntax needed for working with Merged Fields in Word document?

I usually manually insert them with the Quick parts > Field function, but without the { MERGEFIELD ... MERGEFORMAT } commands:

I did the same but for some reason it is not working.
the { MERGEFIELD ... MERGEFORMAT } is shown when you press ALT + F9
Below you can find picture with original working merge field and manually inserted via above step.
They look the same but it is not working.

Sorry, I cannot reproduce this.
Are you sure, you change it back with ALT + F9 on the exported document to see the actual result?

Is it a desktop application, or an online application?
What is your operating system? Windows? Mac? Linux?

yes, I change it back with ALT + F9.
We use Office365 running on Windows 11 machine.
What confuse me is that it stop works when edit working merge field.
Pure open and close field window is enough.

Mergefields are processed during the Codebeamer export.
They won't be evaluated if you change them in the exported document.
Try to change them in the template document.

I downloaded systems templates from: $CB_HOME/tomcat/webapps/cb/exporttemplates/Trackers
Templates work fine.
Below is example for tracker:
I made a copy of "template-items-all.docx" and delete all fields except Description (line 1).
Then created same merged field (Description mine).
And copy original description from first line (Description copied).
Made export to office:
Result is below:
There is also second issue.
I am not able to populate data from header in blue square on the first picture.
