Tnx! Is there a trick how to convert a Prime 3.1 sheet into a sheet which can be read by Prime 3.0 you can share with us?

Or is it rather a sheet which was developed in Mathcad 15 and then converted to Prime?

I am assuming you did not retype the whole sheet from scratch in Prime 3.0.

EDIT: Just noted an error in your sheet with the option "0  linear". You have mixed up slope and interception. The first element in the vector returned by "line" is the intercept (with the ordinate).

You have the indices correct in the function "Func(t)" (which you don't use) but mixed up in "function".

I simply copied all the regions from the 3.1 worksheet and pasted them into a Prime 3.0 worksheet and saved that Prime 3.0 worksheet. In general, this copy/paste from 3.1 to 3.0 works, but there are some exceptions. In my case, it did just fine.

thanks for the reply, but I am not sure if I understand that right.

To be able to copy the regions from the 3.1 sheet you would have to open the sheet in Prime 3.1, as P3.0 is not able to read the file.

But you would have to use Prime 3.0 to paste the regions and then save the file still in 3.0 format because Prime 3.1 is not able to save in the older format.

This would mean that you must have both versions installed and opened at the same time - is this possible? Not sure but I thought the installation of Prime3.1 would kill the older installation but maybe it was just the Mathcad15 to Prime3.0 converter which is killed.

That's right. Old installation of 3.0 version is removed.

BTW, I vaguely remember that it was possible to have installations of P2 and P3 in parallel and only the possibility to convert MC15 sheets in Prime2 format was killed.

But then, a version 3.1 replacing version 3.0 is exactly what I would expect.

On the other hand, file compatibility between 3.1 and 3.0 is also something I would expect.

Maybe Luke can elaborate on the procedure in a bit more detail.

R&D team should have that opportunity as they're not ordinary users, for whom this is not possible.

That is correct, installing Prime 3.1 will remove Prime 3.0. However, before installing Prime 3.1 (and thereby uninstalling Prime 3.0), you can take the installation folder for Prime 3.0 and paste it elsewhere (say, on your desktop). Then, when Prime 3.1 installs over Prime 3.0, you can still go into this folder and run the MathcadPrime.exe from the Prime 3.0 folder that was backed up. This will present some limitations, such as with worksheet conversions from Mathcad 15, but that is how I was able to get the attached worksheet to be usable on Prime 3.0.

are there any circumstances the Linear is not applicable... just had a plot drawn that is a mirror image to what it should be?!   would be great if there is an updated version of this as a great progarmme and really useful
