WF5 would not install until network cards were resequenced

WF5 would not install until network cards were resequenced

I was unable to install Wildfire 5 (student) until assisted by the PTC representative. He re-sequenced my network cards (Windows XP) using REGEDIT. What is that all about? How do I determine the correct sequence in the future??
