Page 10-16 to 10-25 in the PDMLink 9.1 Customizers Guide has an example on how to add attachments to

PTC User Solutions List:

Keir Pritchard pointed out to me that page 10-16 to page 10-25 in the
PDMLink 9.1 Customizers Guide has an example on how to "add or modify the
ability to add, modify, and download content from a format content holder
or content holder business object."

One of our on-site PTC Global Services Consultants followed the guide, and
applied it to Change Tasks. The result is that we now have the ability to
add and remove attachments from a task using the create and edit wizard.

We had already made a minor enhancement to view migrated file attachments,
so that is not included in the instructions, below. But I wanted to share
how we enabled the add/remove feature.

The following steps were performed to enable "Attachments" Tab for Change
Tasks :

Create Change Task
3 REPLIES 3

Just tried this. Seems like it's on the right track but only includes about 1/3 of the steps. Will you please confirm?

thanks

-:

I had some requests for instructions on how to show the attachments on a
Change Task in addition to my earlier post on how to add and remove
attachments from a change task in PDMLink 9.1.

Below, I've included both sets of instructions (read, as well as
add/remove).

I've also added a zip file with the 3 files that we changed for your
reference. Those files are not needed if you do not get attached files,
since the relevant code is also included in the body of the e-mail, below.

This email contained a .zip file attachment. Raytheon does not allow email attachments that are considered likely to contain malicious code. For your protection this attachment has been removed.

If this email is from an unknown source, please simply delete this email.

If this email was expected, and it is from a known sender, you may follow the below suggested instructions to obtain these types of attachments.

+ Instruct the sender to enclose the file(s) in a ".zip" compressed file, and rename the ".zip" compressed file with a different extension, such as, ".rtnzip". Password protecting the renamed ".zip" compressed file adds an additional layer of protection. When you receive the file, please rename it with the extension ".zip".
