Creo Error After Install

Hi all,

Has anyone seen this, not sure if its Creo or if its one of the add on components but heres what happened,

I uninstalled all of the Creo 1.0 items from a users machine, then installed creo 2.0, install didn't seem to go right as I was getting a Windows Compatibility mode dialogue so I uninstalled all the Creo 2.0 componets and re-reun the installation

When I started up Creo 2.0 all seemed fine as it installed PVX and then I started to get the following error (Please see attached file)

The error basically says "Creo 2.0 from PTC has Stopped Working" although if you click cancel Creo Parametric seems to run fine.

This is Creo 2.0 M010 installed on a Windows 7 32 bit machine with Nvidea FX2800 card

Any hints would be appreciated as I cannot find anything on PTC.com

Strange, but glad someone else has the error and its not just me

I've put this on my machine which had Creo 1.0 on it and I didn't get the
error, the only difference is mine is a 64 bit

Hi All,

PTC sent me a work around to the issue I had with Creo 2 showing the "Creo
2.0 from PTC has Stopped Working" dialogue box on a win7 32 bit

It was to do with the CreoAgent, and thats about all I know, the tech
support person performed the following

1. Uninstall Creo Platform from Control Panel > Programs and Features.
2. Rename the creoagent_32_64.msi located at Creo 2.0 <load point=">\common
files\<date code=">\install\addon\ to any other name. This will avoid
automatic installation of Creo Platform next time creo 2.0 is launched.

Have requested more information about what and why but nothing back yet

We saw the same problem last week when installing M010 on 32 bit machines. The suggested fix of renaming the file creoagent_32_64.msi didnt help though. Tech support is anticipating a patch in possibly 3 weeks.
